Distelfink Sippschaft is an Urglaawe kindred located in Eastern Pennsylvania. Our headquarters are in Bristol, our Hof grounds are in Fleetwood, and our cemetery grounds are in Mahoning, PA. We honor the deities of the Teutonic pantheon and our ancestors through the lens of the Deitsch (Pennsylvania German) culture. We draw our traditions from the Deitsch culture and also from the lore of other Teutonic cultures. Our events use both Deitsch and English.
We are dedicated to the advancement of the Deitsch language and culture and to developing good relationships with our neighbors.
Each year, Distelfink Sippschaft sponsors food drives for donations to local food banks. Recipients in the past include the Greater Berks Food Bank and the Family Services Association of Bucks County. We also maintain the Lüsch-Müsselman Graabhof in Mahoning Township, Carbon County.
Die Urglaawisch Sippschaft vum Distelfink is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt religious organization.
